Get DirectionsThe Waipa Foundation invites you to their 8th annual Kalo Festival on Sunday, December 3rd from 11 am to 5 pm. Join us at Waipa’s beautiful Halulu Fishpond as we celebrate kalo! We’ll have educational displays, a biggest kalo contest, poi pounding, kalo tastings, and foods inspired by kalo too!
The relaxing sounds of home grown live music will flow all day, and the festival will also feature hands-on activities, and local artisans PLUS a recipe contest, silent auction, and did we mention the festival is right on Hanalei Bay? Bring a beach blanket and folding chair and enjoy the entire day at Waipa (just a half mile past town).
Support Waipa’s work! This event is a fundraiser and a special opportunity to enjoy community, food, and fun in the ahupua’a. Admission $5 for adults and $1 for keiki (ages 3-18). Waipa is a living learning center focused on taking care of our natural resources, practicing Hawaiian culture and values, and inspiring healthy keiki and community.
